Around a campfire, counselors tell stories to scare the kids, but when they tell the legend of 'Madman Marz', a deranged axe wielding serial killer, the counselors end up being slaughtered.
It all started during a campfire at North Sea Cottages, a special retreat for gifted children...
I'm not sure where to start with this film. Clearly it's a rip-off of Friday the 13th on a low budget with bad acting. You have several adult camp counselors(usually in movies like this they would be older teens) looking after younger kids/teens. It starts out with the counselors telling stories to frighten the younger kids.
One of the adults speaks of the 'Madman Marz' legend. Supposedly if you speak his name above a whisper, he returns and kills everyone. So, what does this guy do? Of course he yells the madman's name and soon the bodies begin to stack up.

The acting is terrible and at points over the top. While atrocious, I couldn't stop laughing my ass off during the hot tub scene. For a low budget film, the gore is decent, and the use of blue hues and weird soundtrack fit the mood of the movie.
'Madman Marz' is a piece of work. movements and grunts of the killer, "Madman" is more of a comedy than horror.
Sometimes he would slumber around and other times he would be running like a big ape, grunting.I found myself laughing a bunch during this movie. Whether from the awful acting or buffoonish
It's worth a watch if you want to have a good laugh with friends: other than that I'd skip it.
