In this tutorial I’ll show you the way I paint wood in Photoshop. There are plenty of tutorials on how to paint wood that offer better and realistic results. I chose this way because it’s quick,simple, and easy to modify. I’m using Adobe Photoshop CS3 and a Wacom tablet. Most of these steps should be reproducable without a tablet.
That is it for this tutorial, but don’t stop here. Keep tweaking and experimenting to make it your own and unique. The only limitation is your imagination so have fun!
