In The Garden

Rainbows planted
three inches deep,
Colors of life,
swaying with the wind.
The coupling of destiny.
Surrounded by pleasure-filled petals,
Our desire more than skin deep.
Blooming daisies open,
with the beats of our hearts.
Outstretched arms,
straight as stems,
welcoming stimulation,
waiting for a moment of bliss.
[with the] changing of Seasons
[the] colors fade
as our bodies age, withered and worn.
Stems slump,
the beats grow slower.
Time took you first,
the final rest.
I’ll join you soon,
Beneath the rainbows,
planted three inches deep.
